Fleck + Ward = Sollee

If you're a fan of Bela Fleck and/or M. Ward, you'll probably like Ben Sollee's new album Learning to Bend. Sollee plays cello using both traditional and very creative methods and has a sweet voice to go along with it. His style is a combination of folk and pop but avoids the over-earnest sound of guys like Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews.

Soul Music

Who could resist checking out a Hasidic reggae/dancehall act? Not this boychik! Matisyahu has the talent to pull it off. I’ve been listening to his first studio album Youthfor a few months now, and it doesn't just hold up, it jams. I've heard the live shows are incredible, so I hope I get the chance to sample one. As I always say, don’t let your peyes get in the way of your dreams.
